On top of the World at Alligator Creek Falls

What better way to spend a Saturday than joining 30 fellow Townsville Hikers and Explorers on an all ages and fitness levels hiking adventure to one of the best tiered waterfalls our region has to offer – Alligator Creek Falls in the Bowling Green National Park.

The weather was perfect and we were soon joined by some wild brumbies as we set off in two groups along the falls track.

Both groups admired the views from the bottom of the falls, but the best was yet to come. The trail to the top of the falls is loose underfoot, steep and rough in places but I didn’t hear any complaints when we got to the top!
